This course is designed in consultation with the Planning Institute of Australia, Australian Institute of Landscape Architects, Australian Institute of Architects, and numerous State and Commonwealth departments and organizations. Students devise a study program to meet their professional goals and interests in consultation with the Course Coordinator. Research projects include: Development planning, Hazard and disaster planning, Sustainability, Regional planning, Climate change adaptation. It will open plenty of opportunities for graduates as planners, policy makers, consultants, researchers, and impact assessors for government agencies at federal, state and local levels, environmental planning firms, environmental assessment consultants, property development companies, regional development organizations, and non-government agencies (e.g. overseas aid organizations).

Students must have completed an undergraduate course at this or another university. They must also satisfy the following English language requirements: IELTS score of 6.0 (no component lower than 5.5) or TOEFL (paper based) score of 550 (plus minimum Test of Written English score of 4.0) or TOEFL (internet based) score of 79 (minimum writing score of 19) or Pearson (PTE Academic) score of 57.
