This programme aims to provide a firm understanding in the infocomm industry, especially for those who aspire to be in project management, system development and consultation which focus on the different aspects of Information Technology, primarily advanced programming and networking. Graduates will be able to apply for positions such as IT Business Analyst, Application Developer and Systems Analyst.

The curriculum include Systems and Database Design, Computer Security, System Analysis and Design, Operating Systems, Data Communications and Networks, Programming Principles, Computer Organization, Communication and Critical Analysis.
अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय विद्यार्थीहरू प्रवेशको लागि आवश्यकता
Applicants must possess one of the following entrance requirements: diploma from local polytechnics; or Advanced Diploma in Information Technology awarded by MDIS; or other equivalent qualifications from recognised institutions will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Preferably with work experience (NS can be considered as work experience). Applicants must possess a C6 pass in English Language (EL1) at GCE ‘O’ Level. Those who do not meet the English requirements are required to sit and pass the English Entrance Test conducted by MDIS. Applicants must possess a C6 pass in Mathematics at GCE ‘O’ Level. Those who do not meet this requirement are required to sit for MDIS Mathematics Placement Test.

The School of Technology and E-Learning (STEL) is one of the academic schools in MDIS and is tasked to focus on both the academic and professional educational development of modern Information Technology (IT) professionals. Established in 2002, the School aims to help students in Singapore and throughout the region gain a foothold in the IT industry by providing a comprehensive suite of programmes that focus on a broad-based, holistic education that is technology-driven. All programmes delivered through STEL are from well-accredited and renowned universities. The School works closely with employers and universities to ensure its programmes are relevant, rigorous and of a high quality. The curricula are regularly reviewed and updated to keep pace with current developments in the IT field; thereby ensuring that students are learning the latest syllabuses, topics and technologies. Students are also taught by lecturers who have more than 10 years of corporate and training experience with proven track record in passing rates.

International students should make the accommodation arrangement before they leave the homeland. There is a wide variety of accommodation options in Singapore and the type of accommodation you choose will depend on your personal budget. International students can approach MDIS for assistance on the accommodation arrangement. The Institute plan to develop the hostel within the premises and this project is part of the overall development plan to create a self-contained integrated campus for the international students. The new hostel will have 782 rooms and up to 14 suites, a 495-seat lecture theatre and an 11-stall cafeteria with a seating capacity of up to 600. The integrated hostel will be ready by 2010.
