This program focuses on the care of patients with cancer, starting from health promotion and prevention of cancer, early diagnosis right through to the advanced and terminal phases of the illness. It provides students with specialized knowledge and skills for prevention and early detection of cancer, management of patients with cancer and their significant others, restoring them to optimal health, maintaining their quality of life and supporting those at end stage of disease.

Modules include HS8012 Health care Management, HS8013 Advanced Nursing Practice, HS8260 Advanced Pathophysiology in Oncology Nursing, HS8261 Psychosocial Perspectives in Oncology Nursing, HS8262 Health Assessment, HS8268 Principles and Practice of Oncology Nursing, HS8269 Site-Specific Cancers, Haematological Cancers and Cancers in Children, HS8270 Research and Evidence-Based Practice, HS8271 Advanced Oncology Nursing Clinical Practice.

Students should have a Diploma in Nursing from Nanyang Polytechnic or an equivalent qualification and must be registered with the Singapore Nursing Board. A minimum of six months post-registration experience is preferred.
