This is a dynamic boutique-programme. Small class sizes enable lecturers to take a personal interest in students well-being and development, with their feedback highly valued. Through a variety of inter-disciplinary collaborations at each level, they are encouraged to question the definition of dance and push its boundaries. The mentoring that guides these collaborative projects creates a stimulating and encouraging environment to assist the development of individual artistic voices. In the final year, they will receive professional placements with industry partners, and opportunities to apprentice at local dance companies, various studios, or with respected teachers. Graduates of this programme are robustly competitive and are positioned on the forefront of contemporary dance creation. By training with a current, creative and collaborative focus, they will emerge as a dance artist who will challenge and expand the definitions of dance. Students can progress as an dance artist, choreographer, dancer. Related career areas are: dance instructor, dance critic.

The modules covered are: Level 1 covers Ballet and Contemporary Technique 1; Performance and Choreographic Studies 1; Historical Perspectives of Dance; Looking at Dance; Dance Science. Level 2 covers Ballet and Contemporary Technique 2; Performance and Choreographic Studies 2; Dance Cultures in Asia; Performance Theory and Interpretation. Level 3 covers Ballet and Contemporary Technique 3; Performance and Choreographic Studies 3; Thesis Research and Writing; Professional Placement.

अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय विद्यार्थीहरू प्रवेशको लागि आवश्यकता

Applicants from India should have completed Higher secondary school certificate, Indian School Certificate (Standard 12). They are also expected to have IELTS score of 6.0 or TOEFL iBT80. The 'A' level art/art elective programme or International Baccalaureate (IB) Art and Design are not required subjects but they should represent the portfolio standard for eligibility into the BA (Hons). They are also required to attend an interview where they will present a portfolio of their work that demonstrates their creative development and process.
