This programme is designed within the Bachelor of Arts framework to give students an understanding of the biological, social, and cultural factors which influence how humans think, feel, and behave. Students can combine psychology subjects with others from business, information technology, or other social science areas. Upon adequate performance in specified core subjects, students can apply to transfer to the Bachelor of Psychology program. Completion of the four-year Bachelor of Psychology or its equivalent is the first step in undertaking studies to complete a Master of Psychology (Clinical) or Doctor of Psychology (Clinical). Graduates can pursue a diverse range of careers in government and human services organisations, business corporations, and the health sector where psychology and arts qualifications are valuable in, for example, media, market research, advertising, public relations and human resources.

Applicants should have completed 12 years of schooling or equivalent. Successful completion of James Cook University Singapore foundation program will also satisfy the entrance requirement. There are different entry requirements from country to country. They must have IELTS 6.0 (no component lower than 5.5)/ TOFEL 550 (with a minimum written English text score of 4.0) and above; or satisfactory completion of the James Cook University English Language Preparatory Program (ELPP). Students who have successfully completed two years of full-time study in English medium may satisfy the English language requirement.
