The management major focuses on the key challenges facing practising managers today such as the relationship between people and an organisation, performance, change, innovation and technology. Students develop a foundation of knowledge, insights and abilities required of managers in a wide range of sectors, industries and functions, including the management skills of communication, problem solving, planning, organising, managing change and working cooperatively with others. Human resource management is a dynamic and evolving area related to the management of people within organisations. It also involves activities related to employment relationships. In this major they will study the functional areas of strategy and planning, attraction and retention, learning and development, remuneration and rewards, performance management and workplace relations. They will develop the knowledge and personal skills needed to develop techniques and programs to engage a highly committed and capable workforce to operate in the global business world.

Applicants from India must have completed All India Senior School Certificates awarded by the CBSE with an average of 65 per cent in four subjects, or Higher School Certificate awarded by one of the State Secondary Schools Board or Indian School Certificate with an average of 65 per cent in five subjects. Applicants from other countries should have country specific requirements equivalent to Singapore. Also they should demonstrate their English language proficiency with an IELTS minimum overall band score 6.0; or with a minimum TOEFL score of 550 in paper based, 213 in computer based and 80 in Internet based (20 in each section).
