This programme aims to provide a coherent range of modular units to equip students to enter industry with skills suitable for a career in Finance and equip graduates with the ability to make sound financial decisions as well as relevant skills that aid their employability in the corporate financial arena. It aims to target those planning to make a career in finance and also those wanting to switch to a financial career. At the end of the programme, student will be able to: understand the accounting process, financial environment, financial risk and management; manage investments through use of their analytical skills; provide financial advisory services; apply decision making techniques in financial planning.

The modules include WA302 Strategic Management, WA309 Business Research, WA400 Dissertation, WA319 International Economics, WA311 International Finance, WA312 Investment Management, WA313 Risk Management and Insurance.

Students to be considered for entry into the programme must have completed a Advanced Diploma in Finance Management from School of Business, Informatics Academy, or Relevant Diploma from Polytechnics / Private Institutions (Subject to University's approval), or Other equivalent qualifications as approved by Informatics Academy and the University of Wales. Also students for whom English is not their first language must provide evidence of English Proficiency: IELTS - A minimum overall band score of 6.0, or TOEFL - Paper-based test a minimum of 550, or Informatics Proficiency in English Programme, or Other equivalent English qualifications.
