This course emphasises on the software aspect of computing and also gives students an understanding of the underlying hardware. As a student in this course, they will learn how to apply appropriate methods to specify, design, program, test and document software. Students will learn how to analyse and design information processing systems using computer- based tools, and build database systems to meet commercial needs. The course introduces them to the business world and provides the skills they will need to operate in a professional environment.

Applicants must be 17 years or older and have completed related Business Administration Advanced Diploma from Auston Institute of Management, or polytechnic related Business Diploma, or related Business Diploma and Advanced Diploma from recognised institutions; professional Certificate from recognized institutions. Mature candidates (>25 yrs) and exceptions to the above will be considered on an individual basis. Applicants whose first language is not English must have IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent.
