This programme combines modules concerned with both information systems and software engineering. Information systems are concerned with the environment and management of information by computer-based systems and software engineering deals with the process of transformation of information into more complex forms. The programme enables the students to gain knowledge and understanding, and to develop a range of skills and competencies highly appropriate for computing in industry, commerce or research. The programme objectives includes: to provide students with an education in computing that will enable them to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to pursue careers in related areas; to encourage the adoption of a critical and independent approach to learning; to provide a foundation for appropriate post-graduate study and research; in information systems, to develop an understanding of the information needs of organisations, the computer system requirements for satisfying those needs and the development of information systems; in software engineering, to promote a perception of software development as an engineering discipline and develop an understanding of engineering principles, design skills and mathematical formalism.

अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय विद्यार्थीहरू प्रवेशको लागि आवश्यकता

Students to be considered for admission must have completed any one of the following qualification: International Advanced Diploma in Computing, or International Advanced Diploma in Business Computing, or Advanced Diploma in Information Technology, or Advanced Diploma in Info-Comm Technology, or Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies, or Diploma (IT-related fields) from Polytechnics / Private Institutions. Entrants whose main language is English, or who studied for their diploma and advanced diploma on courses where the language of instruction was English, are deemed to satisfy the English-language requirement. All other entrants must hold one of the current Brookes-recognised English-language qualifications (IELTS 550 or TOEFL 6.0 or equivalent).
