पाठ्यक्रमबारे सारश
This programme offers a solid grounding of the subject beyond the basic principles and practice of accounting and finance such as accounting techniques and computation skills. It develops the ability to critically evaluate their usefulness in different contexts and perspectives, including the international dimension. It is recommended if they wish to go on to take professional accountancy qualifications; professionally qualified in the accountancy field and would now like to take a degree; not yet decided which profession to pursue and are interested in the fields of accounting and finance. Graduates can find career opportunities in professional accountancy, investment banking, investment analysis and management, management consultancy and financial management. It is also recommended for those who wish to pursue professional accounting qualifications after graduation.

The modules in year 1 includes 02 Introduction to Economics, 04a Statistics 1 (half unit), 05a Mathematics 1 (half unit), 21 Principles of Banking and Finance, 25 Principles of Accounting; year 2: 97 Management Accounting (25), 93 Auditing and Assurance (25), 59 Financial Management (25), 91 Financial Reporting (25); (select one): 28 Management Economics (02 + 05a), 66 Microeconomics (02 + 05a).

Students must have obtained a recognised first degree completed in a minimum of three years on a full-time basis. For Access Route, they should have obtained 4 'O' Levels (with English and Maths) or equivalent and some work experience. They should have score of 580 (or 237 on the computer base) in TOEFL plus TWE with a score of 4.5 (or a writing rating of 4.5). Alternatively an internet based TOEFL (iBt) score of 92, at least 22 in both reading and writing skills sub-tests and at least 20 in both speaking and listening skills sub-tests. They should have an overall score of at least 6 with a minimum of 5.5 in each of the four sub-tests of IELTS.
