This programme will give students a deep understanding of the importance and role of law in a business context - as well as an understanding of the principles of accounting. It added focus on law will widen the application of the accounting skills to include legal aspects of business. It is recommended if they wish to pursue a career in accounting; would like to work in areas of commerce such as insurance, banking, sales and marketing. Graduates can find opportunities in general management in commerce, business or government, taxation and insolvency work or as assistant accountants in a range of companies.

The modules in year 1 include 25 Principles of Accounting, 128 Elements of Law of Contract, 107 Introduction to Business and Management, 75 Human Resource Management; year 2: 97 Management Accounting (25), 204 Commercial Law, 402 Company Law, 59 Financial Management (25), 93 Auditing and Assurance (25).

Students must have obtained a recognised first degree completed in a minimum of three years on a full-time basis. For Access Route, they should have obtained 4 'O' Levels (with English and Maths) or equivalent and some work experience. They should have score of 580 (or 237 on the computer base) in TOEFL plus TWE with a score of 4.5 (or a writing rating of 4.5). Alternatively an internet based TOEFL (iBt) score of 92, at least 22 in both reading and writing skills sub-tests and at least 20 in both speaking and listening skills sub-tests. They should have an overall score of at least 6 with a minimum of 5.5 in each of the four sub-tests of IELTS.
