This program is designed to focus on providing an educational foundation for a range of careers in 3D Design; providing opportunities for students to gain an internationally recognised vocationally specific qualification to enter employment in 3D Design or progress to higher education vocational qualifications; developing the knowledge, understanding and skills of students in the field of 3D design; providing opportunities for students to focus on the development of higher-level skills in a 3D design context; providing opportunities for students to develop a range of skills and techniques and attributes essential for successful performance in working life. Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to demonstrate the following skills: synthesis of a range of concepts, knowledge and skills relating to 3D design; application of complex theories to practical, realistic work situations in the 3D design sector; independence of approach to study and the generation of 3D design evidence; ability to engage with complex and/or unpredictable situations in the 3D design contexts; ability to take responsibility to manage and direct their own and others’ activities; insight and judgement in relation to the margins and consequences of error; research and investigative skills; responsiveness to change and ability to multi-task; ability to innovate and work in a creative way; demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as effectively as a member of a team.

The modules include Level 1: Drawing Techniques and Approaches; Historical and Contextual Referencing; Properties of 3D Materials; 3D Technology and Processes; Design Method; Computer Applications in Art and Design; Design Principles; 3D Animated Products; Product Design; Design and Function; Visual and Personal Presentation; Marketing; Level 2: Critical Study; Professional Practice and Development; Professional Studies; Commercial Model Making; Furniture Design; Design for Performance; Jewellery, Accessories and Body Adornment; Exhibition and Retail Design; Interior Design.

अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय विद्यार्थीहरू प्रवेशको लागि आवश्यकता

Applicants must have completed diploma; China Senior Secondary Year and IELTS 5.5; SMU 3 and IELTS 5.5; GCE ‘A' levels with two passes ; ITE Higher NITEC 2.5; STPM with two passes; Vietnam grade 12 and IELTS 5.5; or any other equivalent qualifications. Those without IELTS 5.5 are required to attend an English course at a fee.
