This programme equips participants with foundational knowledge of the basic and general understanding of Islamic principles of commerce, finance and economics. A brief history on the development of IsB locally, regionally and globally is also being covered to enable participants to understand the board background of IsB's progress. It provides trainees with basic and sound knowledge of IsB to enable them to proceed to higher levels of study. The programme enables trainees to obtain the skills set and knowledge to pursue a career opportunity as a junior position in an IsB institution. The certificate is an entry-level study in IsB. Students who have successfully completed all course work and passed all prescribed examinations and assignments as set by Harriet Business School will be awarded the Certificate. The course is accredited by Selangor International Islamic University College (KUIS).

The modules include: Islamic Banking and Finance; Takaful (Insurance) and Investment; Wealth and Estate Management; Obligation of Zakat (Tax), Wakaf (Trust) and Faraidh (Estate distribution); Brief History and development of Islamic Banking and Finance; Sources of Shariah Law and its application; Shariah Law governing commerce and finance; Basic understanding of Islamic commerce and economics.
