This is a practice-based programme that prepares students for entry into the exciting and fast-paced audio production industry in Singapore and abroad. They will focus on all aspects of music production involving the recording studio and sound reinforcement disciplines, including large-scale theatre and multimedia productions. Through a progressive structure of modules and assessments, students are taken step by step through the fundamentals of audio technologies and working methodologies of audio production. Working closely with college Performing Arts students in a hands-on, project-based programme, students will learn and hone the necessary skills for professional placement in this exciting and dynamic industry. Top local and international practitioners provide knowledge and experience as they gain confidence to take on industry level projects in a limited amount of time. Upon completion, students will graduate with the necessary skill set to undertake a vocation in audio production. Graduates can progress as studio recording engineer, live sound reinforcement engineer, music producer, music editor, audio video systems designer and product specialist/Sales. Related Career areas are music reviewer, voice talent and vocal coach.

The modules covered are: Level 1 covers Audio Production 1; Music Skills 1; Performance Studies; Sound Reinforcement Practicum 1. Level 2 covers Audio Technologies; Audio Production 2; Sound Reinforcement Practicum 2; Sound Design and Acoustics. Level 3 covers Music Entrepreneurship; Audio Production 3; Sound Reinforcement Practicum 3; Advanced Audio Systems Design.

अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय विद्यार्थीहरू प्रवेशको लागि आवश्यकता

Applicants from India should have completed Secondary School Certificate (Standard 10) - Indian Certification of Secondary Education (ICSE) by Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination; Central Board of Secondary Education Examinations (CBSE). Applicants from other countries should have country specific requirements equivalent to Singapore. Also applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate their proficiency in any one of the following English language requirements: IELTS score of 5.5 or TOEFL score of 525 in PBT, 197 in CBT and 71 in iBT. They are also required to attend an interview where they will present a portfolio of their work that demonstrates their creative potential.
