This programme unites specialised areas, from traditional disciplines to newer art forms, providing wider options of expression relevant to the global evolution of fine arts. Students will develop their visual awareness, practical skills, and knowledge of art history and theory, beginning with improving technical skills and gradually transitioning into a more independent, self-directed studio practice. The programme is individually tailored, encouraging curiosity, fearlessness and discipline. Students will practise various facets of art making, including drawing, concept development, methods and materials through practical studio coursework. They will be able to opt into disciplines ranging from painting, printmaking, drawing/ graphic novel, art photography, sculpture and time-based arts. Graduates can progress as art writer/reviewer, art dealer, art theorist, art conservator and restorer, gallery/ museum managers, illustrator, model and prop maker, painter, print-maker, photographer, sculptor, video artist, visual art programme officer and art teacher/educator.

The modules covered are: Level 1 covers Introduction to Studio Practice; Introduction to Contemporary and Contextual Studies; Technical Skills Workshops for Studio Practice; Exploration of Studio Practice; Specialist Studio Practice; Key Skills in Contemporary and Contextual Studies. Level 2 covers Studio Practice I; Complementary Practice; History of Art and Ideas I. Level 3 covers Studio Practice II; History of Art and Ideas II; Professional Practice and Community Engagement / Industry Placement. Specialism covered are Art Photography, Drawing, Graphic Novel, Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture, Time-based Art.

अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय विद्यार्थीहरू प्रवेशको लागि आवश्यकता

Applicants from India should have completed Secondary School Certificate (Standard 10) - Indian Certification of Secondary Education (ICSE) by Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination; Central Board of Secondary Education Examinations (CBSE). Applicants from other countries should have country specific requirements equivalent to Singapore. Also applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate their proficiency in any one of the following English language requirements: IELTS score of 5.5 or TOEFL score of 525 in PBT, 197 in CBT and 71 in iBT. They are also required to attend an interview where they will present a portfolio of their work that demonstrates their creative potential.
