This course is distinctive as it is comprehensively structured around three core areas namely, Travel and Tourism, Air Transportation and Hospitality and Accommodation Management. This enables flexible transitions and versatile career options across all these sectors. Underpinning these specialist areas is an education which is also strongly focused on business management skills thus ensuring that students are work-ready for any business environment. There will be many defining experiences that they will encounter while in Temasek Polytechnic but one will stand out, and that is an overseas educational trip during which students will apply what they have learnt by making comparative analyses of the tourism industry of regional and international destinations. Their learning journey culminates in a 24-week attachment to a company which they will be guided to select. This final destination in their learning journey ensures that students are more than well-prepared to assimilate into the work-life of their chosen hospitality or tourism career. Graduates find employment with the civil service, hotels, clubs, resorts, airlines, tour operators, museums, national tourism organisations, as well as businesses dealing with food services, events management, entertainment promotion, and exhibitions and conventions. They will also have the option to further their studies in universities in Singapore and abroad with credit exemption or advanced standing.

Applicants from India should have completed Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Standard 10/12 or all India Secondary School Exam (CBSE) Standard 10/12 or Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Standard 10/12 or all Anglo-Indian School Leaving Certificate Standard 10/12, Tamil Nadu or Matriculation Examination Certificate Standard 10/12, Tamil Nadu or Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Standard 10/12 awarded by the Board of Matriculation, Tamil Nadu or Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Standard 10/12 awarded by the Maharashtra State Board or Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Standard 10/12 awarded by the Kerala State, all the qualifications mentioned above must have an overall score of 70 per cent in standard 10 or 65 per cent in standard 12. Students from other countries should have country specific requirements equivalent to Singapore. They should also have obtained a minimum English proficiency score of IELTS 5.0/ 5.5, TOEFL 500/ 550; minimum EL grade required for Singapore-Cambridge GCE O Level are Grade C6 and Grade D7.
