This programme provides students with a broad foundation in the pharmaceutical sciences to support the pharmacy and pharmaceutical industries. It is designed to allow graduates to pursue career paths in hospital and community pharmacies, healthcare institutions, regulatory affairs within clinical research organisations, alternative medicine and other pharmaceutical sectors. Students will be trained in various disciplines of study such as chemistry, pharmacology, pharmaceutics, compounding and dispensing. Opportunities for engagement in experiential learning will allow students to build knowledge in problem solving and integrate knowledge in the life sciences, chemistry and the pharmaceutical sciences. This unique platform for learning prepares the graduates for diverse careers and further education opportunities. This option provides students with grounding in the practice and application of current Good Manufacturing Practice in the pharmaceutical industry. Students will also learn about different aspects of industrial pharmacy, be provided with opportunities to gain relevant industry experience through attachment placements, and be well-versed in the applications of analytical instrumentation and formulation techniques commonly employed in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

GEC 'O' level holders students to be eligible for admission for the course, must obtain 26 points or better for the net ELR2B2 aggregate score (i.e. English language, two relevant subjects and best two other subjects, including CCA bonus points). They should also meet the entry requirements of English language with the grade 1-7, mathematics (elementary or additional) with grade 1-6 and one of the subjects with grade 1-6 in science stream, design and technology, food and nutrition, engineering, electronics or computer science stream. Students who are ITE holders should have completed NITEC qualification or Higher NITEC qualification with a GPA greater than or equal to 3.5 or 2.0 respectively. In addition to this all international students should have secured minimum IELTS score of 6.0 for all bands (listening, writing, reading and speaking) or Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 650 (Paper- based), 173 (Computer-based) or 79 (internet-based).
