This program is jointly offered by Temasek Polytechnic and Certis CISCO, this course is designed for personnel in the security / estate management industry who wish to upgrade themselves in security and fire safety knowledge and in related generic skills. Holders of the DSFSM are eligible to take up appointments as Fire Safety Managers of buildings under the Fire Safety Act.

Students must have a 3 GCE 'O' level passes with three years of relevant working experience. Upon successful completion of the certificate course, participants can progress to the diploma level, provided there is sufficient number of qualified applicants in the next stage. Participants must complete the certificate course in order to proceed to the diploma level. Applicants with one or two GCE 'O' level passes or three GCE 'N' level passes must attend and pass a six-month Foundation program. Applicants with other academic qualifications and extensive working experience will be considered on a selective basis.
