This programme equips students for employment in the fast-growing backstage management of people and technology in the Performing Arts Industry. They are given hands-on practice in college drama, dance, musical theatre, and music productions, and are given opportunities to contribute to films, videos and other forms of displays, exhibitions and events. Students are trained to develop their professional skills in managing all aspects of productions and events. They will learn to manage people, time and budget, and are empowered to work independently and as part of a team. Students will learn to work with actors, dancers, musicians, visual artists, and other technicians in planning and managing complex artistic and communication aspects. They are taught and mentored by local and international theatre professionals, practitioners, and experts in the industry, plus well-established and well-known artists. Through the fulfillment of specialised responsibilities and acquired experiences, students will gain invaluable skills, knowledge and strengths leading to a long career in the arts. Graduates can progress as assistant stage manager, stage crew, stage mechanist, lighting technician, sound technician, assistant to set designer, assistant to costume designer, wardrobe assistant and dressers. Related Career areas are production assistant and assistant to technical manager.

अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय विद्यार्थीहरू प्रवेशको लागि आवश्यकता

Applicants from India should have completed Secondary School Certificate (Standard 10) - Indian Certification of Secondary Education (ICSE) by Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination; Central Board of Secondary Education Examinations (CBSE). Applicants from other countries should have country specific requirements equivalent to Singapore. Also applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate their proficiency in any one of the following English language requirements: IELTS score of 5.5 or TOEFL score of 525 in PBT, 197 in CBT and 71 in iBT. They are also required to attend an interview where they will present a portfolio of their work that demonstrates their creative potential.
