In this programme student is required to pass an oral examination on the subject matter of their thesis. In addition to pursuing independent research, the candidates are required to satisfy the following requirements: to complete six coursework courses and to submit in-depth literature review of approved research topic.

The courses are: CE7402: Performance Modelling and Simulation of Queuing Systems, CE7405: Data Mining, CE7426: Advanced Topic in Convex Optimization, CE7427: Advanced Topic in Cognitive Neuroscience and Embodied Intelligence, CE7428: Special Advanced Topic - Computer and Network Security, CE7429: Special Advanced Topic - Computational Intelligence: Methods and Applications, CE7490: Special Advanced Topic - Distributed Systems, CE7491: Special Advanced Topic - Digital Image Processing.
अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय विद्यार्थीहरू प्रवेशको लागि आवश्यकता
Applicants must have bachelor's degree with minimum 2nd class honours upper and the ability to pursue research in the candidate's proposed field of advanced study. A GMAT or GRE score is required for the admission. For applicants whose native language is not English, a good TOEFL or IELTS score is required. Applicants from India may use the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score of at least 90 per cent in place of GRE.
