In this course students learn to prepare final accounts, cost accounts and tax computations for various entities. Higher Nitec in Accounting graduates, equipped with knowledge and skills in accounting, are employed by government departments, statutory boards and private sector companies. There are excellent opportunities for career advancement to supervisory positions and beyond. The challenge is for students to prepare themselves by upgrading their technical skills and knowledge through higher-level courses.

Students must have completed GCE 'O' level grades 1-7 in English language , mathematics (elementary or additional) or principles of accounts and one other subject or GCE 'N(A)' level passes in English language (grade 1-3), mathematics (grade 1-4) and three other subjects (grade 1-5) and a total of 19 points or less for English, mathematics and three other subjects (ELMAB3).
