This programme is designed to provide students with broad-based and in-depth knowledge on gaming, 3D animation and animation techniques. Upon completion of this programme students are prepared for a professional career in the film, multimedia and gaming computer graphics industry. This programme is validated by NCC Education (UK). The course has been developed to meet the professional and academic needs of graduates of the Advanced Diploma in Gaming and Animation Technology in order that they may function effectively in the design and development of 2D and 3D animation films and computer games. Students typically progress from the Diploma into the Advanced Diploma in Gaming and Animation Technology and subsequently into degree programs and this reflects the continuing need for academic development in the Far East as well as world-wide generally.

The modules include E2070 Games Architecture and Design, E2071 Online Game Development, E2072 Creating Games for Handheld Devices, E2073 Models and Animation, E2074 Advanced Animation Techniques, E2075 Advanced Games Programming, E2076 Artificial Intelligence and Games Development, E2077 Project.

Students to be considered for Normal entry into the programme: they must have obtained a pass or higher grade in the International Diploma in Gaming and Animation Technology awarded by Informatics Academy or equivalent; Diploma in a cognate subject. Other qualifications or experience which demonstrates that a candidate possesses appropriate knowledge and skills at Diploma level may be acceptable (may require taking bridging modules). For Matured Entry: Students must have attained 21 years and above, three years of relevant working experience (documentary proof required), completed Secondary education in English or proof of English Proficiency and may require to take bridging modules. They must fulfill the following English language requirements: IELTS - minimum score of 6.0 or TOEFL - Paper-based test of a minimum 550 or Informatics Proficiency in English Program.
