This program has been specifically designed to meet the needs of the Asian maritime market so that the graduates have the necessary skill in advanced marine technologies for future development and improved efficiency in the industry. It provides flexible, innovative training for graduates by using a combination of self-study, web-based and classroom learning. The program will provide the marine industry in the region with a Master Training Package which enable graduates working in industry to gain the necessary skills training in advanced technologies, management, business and IT. The training is relevant to current problems and functions of the marine sector and is designed to enhance the industry's knowledge base and improve competitiveness. This will provide students with enhanced technical and managerial techniques that can be applied in the marine industry and enable them to take on major responsibilities early in their careers.

Students must have an undergraduate degree in any discipline of engineering from the University of Newcastle, or an equivalent award from a recognised institution or University. They should submit a certified copy of the degree parchments or certificates. Students with non-standard entry qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Students whose native language is not English and with a degree that is not in English language must provide evidence that they have achieved a good level of proficiency in English of at least IELTS with a score of 6.0 or TOEFL with a score of 575.
