This course describes about the manufacturing operations or process operations of pharmaceutical plant, such as monitoring and controlling manufacturing or process variables, and checking and servicing process control equipment. Graduates are employed by companies in the pharmaceutical industries. Some of the job titles held by the graduates include process technician, operation technician and plant maintenance technician. There are excellent opportunities for career advancement to supervisory positions and beyond. The challenge is for students to prepare themselves by upgrading their technical skills and knowledge by taking up higher-level courses.

Students must have completed GCE 'O' level with a grade of 1-8 in mathematics and science or GCE 'N' level passes with a grade of 1-5 or A-D in mathematics, science and one other subject. They must be free from colour-appreciation deficiency.
