In this course students play a key role in installing, testing and troubleshooting important instrumentation in plants. Nitec in Chemical Process Technology (Process Instrumentation) graduates are employed by companies in the process industries. Some of the job titles held by Nitec in Chemical Process Technology (Process Instrumentation) graduates include process instrument technician, instrumentation technician and engineering assistant. There are excellent opportunities for career advancement to supervisory positions and beyond. The challenge is for students to prepare themselves by upgrading their technical skills and knowledge by taking up higher-level courses.

Students must have completed GCE 'O' level with a grade of 1-8 in mathematics and science or GCE 'N' level passes with a grade of 1-5 or A-D in mathematics, science (except human and social biology)and one other subject. They must be free from colour-appreciation deficiency.
