This course is designed to meet the following aims: to provide an educational foundation and experience based on the aims and assessment objectives of the respective Cambridge GCE O-Level subject. Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to familiarize with the Cambridge GCE O-Level curriculum and assessment objectives of the subjects covered in this course; understand and acquire the knowledge and skills stipulated in the assessment objectives of the respective Cambridge GCE O-Level subject covered in this course; sit for Cambridge GCE O-Level examination as a private candidate. Students who sit for the external Cambridge GCE O-Level examination as private candidates and successfully satisfy all requirements of related GCE O-level subjects will be awarded the prestigious Cambridge GCE O-Level certificate.

Applicants with qualifications equivalent to the Secondary 3 academic standard may be admitted on the condition that they are proficient in English. Students lacking proficiency in English will be required to take up English lessons.

The Beacon School of Technology is a private educational school registered with the Ministry of Education in Singapore. It is set up to provide quality education to students who aspire to pursue a degree in Infocomm Technology or Business courses. We also offer English (IELTS) course. The School management consists of ex-Ngee Ann Polytechnic lecturers who have more than 20 years of industrial and teaching experience in the education sector. They have run and managed diploma courses for many years. Our tutors are highly qualified and most hold Master degrees. Our tutors are registered teachers with the Ministry of Education in Singapore.

Beacon works closely with Singapore Vinga (International) Students' Hostel in the arrangement of students' accommodation. Located conveniently near shopping malls, fast food restaurants, food centres and supermarkets, Vinga International provides free broadband connection, 24-hour security, house keeping twice a week and laundry services. In addition, Vinga International is easily accessible by bus 145 from Beacon. The hostel is inclusive of a common living room and dining area. Choices of accommodation include 4 students to a room, 3 students to a room, 2 students to a room and 1 student to a room. Students may choose to sign a 3-month, 6-month or 12-month contract with the hostel.
