This programme aims to equip participants with basic skills in preparing quality food and beverage in a safe working environment. Competencies include maintaining quality control procedures, basic mise en place and preparing vegetables and meat for cooking. At the end of the programme students will be able to competently prepare raw food products for cooking. It is Ideal for career switchers or individuals looking to rejoin the workforce who possess a keen interest to pursue employments as food production assistants (or equivalent) in restaurant, hotel or production kitchens.

This programme content includes Follow Food and Beverage Safety and Hygiene Policies and Procedures; Maintain Food And Beverage Production Environment; Maintain Safe And Secure Working Environment; Maintain Quality Control Procedures; Prepare Mise-En-Place 1; Prepare Meat, Poultry, Fish And Shellfish; Prepare Vegetables, Fruits, Nuts And Mushroom; In-Campus Practical Training.

अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय विद्यार्थीहरू प्रवेशको लागि आवश्यकता

Applicants should have attained an age of 18 years and above. They should have obtained High school diploma or minimum GCE N level with three credits or ES WSQ Workplace Literacy and Numeracy Level 4. Applicants should have a passion for culinary, service and food and beverage. Also they should be culinary, food and beverage, hospitality college students or food and beverage industry professionals. Applicants should also possess leadership qualities of artistic and disciplined. All applicants are required to undergo one round of interview and Singapore males must have already completed or be completely exempt from National Service. International applicants should be able to speak, read and write English, or possess a 5.5 score in IELTS, 500 in TOFEL or ES WSQ certification level 4.
