Accounting and finance enables students to develop the skills and expert judgement for financial measurement and presentation together with an understanding of the legal framework regulating operational practice; accounting is concerned with the measurement and disclosure of financial information; accountants have a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of financial information given to private individuals, managers, investors, regulators, decision makers and the public; in each year of the French course, students take compulsory language modules; in addition to choosing a number of optional modules, some thematic in character and some more traditionally chronological in approach; modules in aspects of linguistics and in the language of current affairs and business are also available; French language classes are taught in French.
