.Level 2 Diploma in Agriculture (with Farm Animal Management option) Agriculture \ Level 2 Diploma in Agriculture (with Farm Animal Management option) IntroductionThis is an excellent one year all-round course that is ideal for those of you who want to be involved with the day to day practical aspects of working on a farm. You will be up early taking part in college farm experience weeks, working with the range of College farm enterprises. About this course There are 2 options within the programme: The Agriculture option is aimed at those coming from farming backgrounds and aims to build on the practical skills. The Farm Animal Management option is aimed at school leavers, who need not necessarily have a farming background and concentrates on the welfare and management of farm animals. These targeted courses will include a high proportion of practical work on Reaseheath’s high welfare dairy, sheep and pig units. Students will also enjoy relevant work experience on well run, commercial farms and gives students grounding in the wide aspects of farming, with an even spread of theory work in the classroom and practical sessions on our farm throughout the year. The course also includes UK study tours, farm visits and presentations by external speakers.
