This challenging course explores new design ideas and technological advancements, helping you to design and construct buildings effectively, safely and economically, whilst considering how new and existing buildings may have an impact on the environment, as a specialist in Architectural Technology, the students will be the link between concept and reality. They will learn to identify, assess and challenge client and user requirements, translating ideas and possibilities into effective and practical building solutions.

Year 1: design and technology in construction; building science and services; structures and materials; history of the built environment; design communication. Year 2: advanced technology and design in construction; building engineering; contract administration; live design projects; 3D CAD Modelling. Year 3: professional practice: optional work placement. Final Year: integrated technology and design project; research project; innovation and sustainability; development practice and constraints; professional practice; advanced building modelling; final-year degree show.
