The majority of the classes are workshop based, allowing students to work at their own pace and at an appropriate level. This is an intensive course, specifically designed for those who wish to return to work after a career break. The focus of the training will be based on the OCR Certificates in Text Processing at Basic, Intermediate and Advanced level. The course includes one week.s work experience. All subjects are compulsory. There will be opportunities to update existing skills, including keyboarding, and to develop new skills in the following areas, text Processing, word processing, digital audio, document presentation, mail merge, ITQ (Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Outlook), PowerPoint . business presentations, medical word processing.

All participants must have basic literacy and numeracy skills in order to cope with the teaching/learning materials used. All potential students will be required to undertake a short literacy assessment, level 2 required. A big emphasis is placed upon regular attendance and punctuality.
