This course is designed to introduce you to a variety of Art and Design techniques and processes including; Drawing, Ceramics, Jewellery, Photography, Graphic Design, Fashion and Textiles, 3D Design, Fine Art, Painting and Illustration. During the course you will visit art galleries and you will meet professional artists who will give talks and show their work. You will experience a range of Art and Design craft disciplines, learning the basic skills and Health and Safety processes. You will learn how to use materials and processes safely and imaginatively. As the course progresses you may begin to specialise in one or two areas of Art and Design which most interest you. Towards the end of the course you will have assembled a portfolio of imaginative and exciting work. You will also learn about historical and contemporary art, artists and designers and how to understand and relate them to your own work.
