The retail sector is one of the largest sectors within the UK covering a wide range of retail outlets from the small independent shop to the large supermarket chains, general department stores to market stalls. It has continued to grow despite the recession and currently employs large numbers of people within the West Midlands. This course covers not only general retail but also has a number of units which relate only to the fashion industry. There is a definite career path within the retail sector and individuals can progress at a surprisingly rapid pace.

You will need one of the following: . 3 GCSEs at grade C or above, including English . Level 1 qualifications, such as BTEC at merit or distinction . Good standard of secondary education with previous retail experience . Mature students who do not have the above qualifications are still welcome to apply and will be assessed on their individual experience and qualifications
