This course is aimed at individuals who would like to eventually work in the Computer Gaming Industry. It will give you the experience and skills to design, programme and develop computer games to run on today’s technological systems. Students will study the roles and activities of researchers, programmers, theorists, story writers, sound recorders, photographers and advertisers. As well as the design and theoretical elements of the course, there is a requirement to play, test, review and evaluate games on a number of consoles. What will you study: You will study units such as: Storyboarding, Creative and Story Writing, Game Creation, Drawing and Design, Character Environment, Equipment Design, 2D and 3D Modelling, Programming, Marketing and Audience Identification Testing, Audio Recording and Sound Effects, Photography, Digital Graphics.
