On this course you will study various aspects of construction and the built environment. It will help you to make a more informed choice about your future career within the construction sector. It can also help you to progress onto a higher level course. You will study the following units: � Structure of the construction industry, � Exploring health, safety and welfare, � Use of science and mathematics in construction, � Sustainability of the construction industry, � Construction drawing techniques, and � Construction processes and operations. If you don�t have GCSE maths and English at A*-C, you will need to achieve Functional Skills numeracy and literacy at level 2 while on the course. Kirklees College Sports Academy If you enjoy sport and play either football or rugby league you may be able to combine this course with a place in the Kirklees College Sports Academy. You will complete your studies and train with top professional coaches, developing both your education and sports performance at the same time.
