All joint Honours degrees may also be studied as major/minor combinations; students should ensure the correct UCAS code is used for the specific combination they require; the business computing systems course aims to provide the appropriate background for students wishing to work in the design, development and support of information systems or in the provision and management of business computing systems and knowledge resources; distinct pathways allow the development of specialisms in databases, systems analysis, software development, e-commerce and resource management; history students study a wide range of topics and can tailor their course to suit their own individual interests; the research practice module sharpens students� skills in the 2nd stage, while the final stage allows students to take specialist modules in which they work with tutors on the tutors� own specialist research areas; these include: the Holocaust; witchcraft trials; the home front in the World War 2; the history of medicine; and Imperial Germany.
