The Diploma is awarded by "City & Guilds and Construction Skills" who jointly form the Construction Awards Alliance (CAA). You will be expected to show competence, which involves the application of knowledge and skills in a significant range of varied work activities, performed in a variety of contexts.
The activities at Level 1 are a good starting point for you! You will be involved in the application of knowledge and skills in the performance of a range of varied work activities, most of which may be routine or predictable.
The contents of your programme are:
- Health & Safety.
- Using Information and Communicating.
- Knowledge of Building.
- Produce Basic Woodworking Joints
- Produce Basic Joinery Items.
- Maintain and use Joinery Hand Tools.
- Prepare and use Joinery Power Tools.
- Functional Skills (Communication & Number)
