Whilst on this programme you will study a City and Guilds Certificate in Air Cabin Crew. This may help you get your first job working as part of a cabin crew. You�ll learn how to co-ordinate a safe flight, preparing the cabin, getting the passengers aboard, demonstrating safety procedures and more. You�ll also learn how to deal with emergencies. You will study: � introduction to airline and aviation operations, � airline health, safety and security, � airline emergency procedures, � crew room duties, � role of air cabin crew (on board), and � preparation for employment as air cabin crew. You will also study a City and Guilds Certificate in Aviation Operations on the Ground, which is delivered in conjunction with Servisair, UK's largest ground hangling operation. This may help you find a job working in an airport, such as passenger service agent. You�ll cover important health and safety and operational issues. You can also develop your knowledge and gain specialised skills for particular job roles. The course is theoretical and practical and you will have the opportunity to train in the college's new, state-of-the-art aircraft cabin. You will have the opportunity to visit a simulated aircraft for fire and smoke training and also undertake wet drill training, go on a variety of trips and visits to major airports, and put on a worldwide travel exhibition that will be open to the public.
