Through a combination of formal education and work-based learning, students receive a good understanding of engineering principles, along with information technology and personal skills, plus the ability to apply them to engineering problems through design and project work; successful completion of this course allows students to progress onto the BSc (Hons) degree programme; students complete a 15-week work experience placement during the first academic year.
