The course is particularly appropriate to community regeneration and development. It aims to bring together community members, staff of regeneration and other relevant agencies and those interested in moving into this area of work; by doing so they learn the principles of regeneration and community development and learn that the process is a shared 1; the course is designed to equip people to take an active part in facilitating community regeneration and development; it does this by focusing on community involvement, liaison and partnerships between local communities, government, business and communities of interest and covers areas such as community, sustainability, project management, partnership working and capacity building; consequently, work placements and case studies on actual community regeneration projects form an integral part of the course.
