This course covers the central technologies required for the understanding, analysis and implementation of communication systems and provides both the requisite theory and practical experience for students to contribute professionally in the subject area; the aim of this programme is to develop academic and professional excellence both for newly qualified and practising engineers who wish to extend their knowledge and skills in the field of modern digital communications.

Core modules: Advanced network technologies; marketing analysis and financial strategic planning; mobile and satellite communication technologies; strategic management; project; plus optional modules include: advanced digital communications; advanced microprocessor systems; digital signal processing; embedded systems; fibre optic communications; high-level IC design; image processing; RF design.
