The Education programme is a dynamic and exacting study of the individual, social and political forces that shape educational provision no matter where it is found or how it is delivered; it embraces questions such as what is the nature of knowledge and how does technology impact on learning and teaching; if students are interested in all aspects of how and why we learn it challenges and excites and helps growth as both an individual and someone who can fit into a wide variety of work contexts; Students study core academic disciplines of philosophy, psychology, sociology and the history of education; tourism is the world�s largest industry, worth over $3 trillion annually worldwide, and has become one of its biggest sources of employment; the legacy of the European capital of culture sees the city�s continuing development of new arts, heritage, and cultural attractions, retail developments and luxury hotels; as a result, there is a need for highly qualified graduates in tourism; the course offers a small and friendly team of tutors with a wide range of practical and academic experience of tourism; it is a course which accepts students with a diverse range of entry qualifications.
