This course is intended to enable teachers of health related subjects to demonstrate their understanding of how the boundaries of knowledge are advanced through research; candidates are expected to carry out a sustained research study, critically reviewing the current knowledge base of a specific area of educational practice, synthesizing research findings, and reaching appropriate conclusions; candidates are expected to be able to make appropriate recommendations relevant to their area of educational practice; if students need or would like to study a particular aspect of a particular programme, or wish to study over a longer period than the standard part-time course, students can study individual modules as an associate student.
