Year 1: Students cover Education in context; introduction to contemporary issues in education; learning: an individual examination; introduction to research in education; introduction to social justice and inclusion; comparative and alternative education; introduction to teaching; and primary education: systems and structures.Year 2: Students cover employability and working in educational settings; politics, policy and economics in education; learners and learning; research methods in education; leading and managing education; understanding learning: digital literacies; secondary education: systems and structures; and preparing to teach in the lifelong learning sector.Year 3: Students cover emerging approaches to education research; lifelong and work related learning; social justice and inclusive education; international perspectives on global issues; current issues in teaching and learning in schools; education and teaching for health and wellness; and dissertation (double module).
