Students study advanced knowledge and technical abilities in digital design, embedded systems, motor drives and more; applicants also carry out practical tasks; students learn to utilise industry standard software and hardware tools to implement digital designs, design and develop embedded systems to predetermined specifications, and critically analyse and understand the operation and control of motor drives in a range of applications; in addition, students learn to evaluate the specifications of generators, optimisation of distributed networks and their control options; students complete an advanced research and design project.
