During this degree you students spend 2 thirds of their time studying English language and 1 third studying film studies.
कार्यक्रमका खाकाहरू
Year 1: compulsory English language 20 credit modules: introduction to language; describing language or disgrifio�r gymraeg; language & culture; and language & society or y gymraeg a chymdeithas; compulsory film studies 20-credit modules: moving images; and development of the moving image. Year 2: compulsory for English language: history of English; choose 3 modules from English language: meaning & mind; sounds and sound systems; grammar & mind; discourse & variation; and ieithyddiaeth gymraeg; compulsory for film studies: film theory/film culture; plus 20 credits from film studies list. Year 3: a dissertation on a topic of students choosing, and undertake the research methods & design module; the remaining 40 credits in English language are taken from the list below: language contact and bilingualism; language processing; speech and language disorders; language acquisition; teaching English as a foreign language; current issues in bilingualism; text analysis; forensic linguistics; grammatical systems and change; the bilingual mind; metaphor and thought; language, culture and society; Welsh linguistics; agweddau ar ddwyieithrwydd; and sosioieithyddiaeth gymraeg; plus 40 credits from film studies.
