This exciting hands-on course offers you an in depth study of the organisation of major events and shows, coupled with general business organisation, marketing, accountancy, human resource management, business strategy and planning. Success in the Extended Diploma in Events Management provides you with the qualification to go directly to university and places you in a good position to take a leading role in a wide range of events and promotional management. About the course The course involves theoretical and practical research into organising and executing events and shows across the UK using Reaseheath‰Ûªs extensive facilities. You will also attend some major events. Extended Diploma ‰ÛÒ two year course covering 18 units (equivalent 3 A levels), Diploma - two year course covering 12 units (equivalent 2 A levels), Subsidiary Diploma ‰ÛÒ one year course, covering 6 units (equivalent 1 A level). You will be assessed through your portfolio/assignment work, and complete a work placement as part of the programme. This unique course will provide you with a sound understanding of business activities that could result in you managing successful public events on a large scale. Work experience, study tours and running live events provide a broad range of experiences for the young business person. Throughout the year you will have the opportunity to visit many local and not so local businesses. This course includes: Business studies, Marketing, Finance, Human resource management, Economics, Customer care, Managing teams, Managing physical resources, Health and safety, Deloitte BTEC Employability Skills (Level 2), Event management practical, Functional Skills in Maths, English or ICT (dependent on previous qualifications).
