Students undertake a structured, supervised programme of research into 1 area of hospitality and tourism management; students undertake a tailored programme of formal research training in methods and methodology; in their 1st year students take up to 3 modules of core research methods training; all students are expected to take advantage of advanced research training modules that further support their specific research; these include a range of modules focused on developing the practical skills required for subsequent careers; researchers also organise and run their own annual research conference.
