In General you will learn what you need to equip you with the skills and knowledge to function at a supervisory level in the Hospitality industry or what you need to progress onto Higher Education.

Specifically there are 18 units of study, of which 9 will be taken in the first year and 9 in the second year. They fall in to three areas of learning: - Practical work in the kitchens and restaurant, which includes subjects like customer care, food service operations, alcoholic beverages, European cuisine and team leading and supervision. - Business studies which includes finance, marketing and human resources - Industry specific subjects such as accommodation operations, conference and banqueting and event planning. You will go on visits to industry, listen to guest speakers and work at Chester race course, you will even have the opportunity to design and run your own restaurant concept.

You will also study for Functional skills in application of number, IT, communications.
