Sharing most of its content with the BA in Language with Tourism/Marketing/Hospitality, this course adds a focus on Festival and Event Management; mastering one or more foreign languages will place students a step ahead in the global business world; but it's not all hard work; this course features an overseas study element of at least one semester that will see students honing theirr language skills while hey make new friends and widen their horizons; students will study their choice of French, German, Italian, Spanish and English as a foreign language within the context of festival and event management; it's a qualification that will have them ready for business almost anywhere in the world; students language skills in the one or more languages they have chosen will be developed through spoken and written communication, role-plays and presentations; the aim is to achieve fluency for business purposes, a goal which will become far more attainable with the aid of their semester or two spent overseas immersed in one of the languages; as well students will learn the fundamentals of event management and festival planning and implementation, and the management and organisational skills that go along with it; students will also relate those skills and insights to the culture and business environment of the countries that use their chosen language.
